Tori Catanzano lept to a 36-11 in the triple jump, the fourth best in area history and a school record in Central Catholic's 98-42 win over Lowell. The previous school record (36-7) was set by Sara Missert in 2008.
Read More »Haverhill and Timberlane's girls track teams both fared well at the Red Raider Invitational in Lowell. Although there was no team scoring, Haverhill won four events and placed in several others. Beth and Mary Fullerton went one-two in the mile and were on the winning 4x800 relay, Rachel Surette was first in the triple jump (34-9 1/2) and freshman Erin Connolly tok top honors in the 200. For Timberlane, Torri Plank was first in the frosh-soph mile (5:29.26) and Sierra Obi was first in both the shot put and discus. Also, Hannah Kimball was second in the 800 and on the runner-up 4x400 relay.
