We are co-champions

Despite losing to Lowell in the final regular season match, Methuen still ended up with a share of the Merrimack Valley Conference Division 2 title with the Red Raiders, each having a 7-1 record. The doubles team of Tori Bonneau and Rebecca Kwakye had the lone Rangers victory.

Andover beats Rangers, the heat

 

Kelsey Hodas and Julia Alagero held it together in the heat in a marathon three-setter, preserving the 5-0 shutout for Merrimack Valley Conference champion Andover in the regular season finale with Methuen.

Julia Anderson and Morganne Akroyd gutted out a tough three-set victory at first doubles, winning the determining set 6-4, to lift Methuen to a 3-2 victory over Lowell.

Tori times two

Tori Pakarski won at second singles and Tori Bonneau combined with Jessica Whiteside to win at second doubles in Methuen's 4-1 win over Notre Dame of Tyngsboro. The match of the day was Morganne Akroyd and Julie Anderson winning a 6-7, 6-2, 7-6 (7-5) marathon at first singles.

Pentucket downs Rangers
