Phillips Academy's girls soccer team, on a goal by Meghan Doherty in the first half, held on for a 1-0 win over Brooks in Class A New England prep tournament action. Brooks outshot Phillips 9-4, but Phillips goalie Alex Farrell was perfect on the day. Phillips will face Loomis-Chaffee in today's championship game at The Governor's Academy at 1 p.m.

With just four minutes left in the second overtime, Andover's Marina Moschitto blasted a perfect corner kick to Amelia Hammerl in front of the net, and the forward headed it in for the game-winning goal as Brooks downed Westminster 2-1 in the NEPSAC Class A quarterfinals last night.

Brooks defeated Buckingham Brown and Nichols 4-1, lead by Abby Hammerl who scored her second hat trick of the season. Abby had help from her sister Amelia who scored a goal and assisted on another. Marinia Moschitto added two assists.

Brooks School moved Andover's Marina Moschitto from midfield to a forward slot with tremendous results yesterday in a 3-1 win over the Governor's Academy. She had two goals and an assist as the Green and White improved to 8-1-3. Nikki Kisner added a goal and an assist.

In a battle of undefeated teams, Brooks tied Phillips 1-1. Marina Moschitto netted Brooks' goal while Ambika Krishnachr tallied Phillips'. Amelia Hulshult (Brooks) and Alex Farrell (Phillips) each made nine saves.

Brooks used a second-half offensive outburst to down Phillips Exeter 3-1. Marina Moschitto scored the equalizer on a penalty kick two minutes into the second half, and Alice Grant scored her first of two tallies two minutes later to give Brooks the lead it would never relinquish.
