Brooks advances

Brooks surrendered a goal at the two-minute mark of the first half, but bounced back for a 2-1 win over Williston. Christie Donovan and Chapin Duke scored for Brooks, who advance to play Thayer on Saturday (noon) at Phillips Academy in the NEPSAC semifinals.

Brooks prevails in OT

In a battle of the two top teams in the Independent School League, Christie Donovan scored with one minute left in overtime to lift Brooks (12-1) over Governor's Academy 1-0. Sarah Freeman saved Brooks in overtime with a stop on the goal line and Carly Churchill stood out in goal with 12 saves.

Brooks hangs on

Sarah Freeman's first-half goal stood up and once-beaten Brooks remained alive in its quest for an ISL field hockey title with a 1-0 win over Lawrence Academy. A win over rival Governors Academy tomorrow will propel Brooks into the title game.

Murray, Duke lead Brooks past Middlesex

Chapin Duke scored twice to lead Brooks to a 3-0 field hockey win over Middlesex.  But the play pf the day came from Paige Murray, a centerback from Andover, who made a goal-line stick save in the first half to preserve Brooks' then 1-0 lead.
