Gabby Polce scored the game's lone goal in the 11th minute as Central Catholic topped Haverhilll 1-0 in the season opener for both squads. Goalkeeper Lauren Hoole made five saves for the shutout. The Hillies' Meghan Gulbrandsen was impressive, stopping 16 of the 17 shots she faced.
