Pentucket 8, Triton 2

Aided by a brilliant pick-off throw by catcher Mike Doud in the fourth inning to get out of a jam and two textbook suicide-squeeze bunts, Pentucket played smart ball against Triton to come out on top.  Pentucket coach Tom L'Italien said his pitcher Adam Newell bore down in big moments and it was a great team win with timely hitting and several well-executed plays.

Newburyport 18, Triton 5

Kyle McElroy continued to have a great season for Newburyport pitching the Clippers to the win, while helping his own cause with a 4 for 5 performance at the plate knocking in two RBIs and scoring three runs. Kyle LeBlanc and Joe Clancy each hit home runs. D.J. Grabowski (4 for 5, 2 runs, 2 RBIs) and Ben Tyler (3 hits) each had great days at the plate.

Amazing comeback for the Knights

North Andover pulled out an amazing comeback win over Triton, 9-8, in eight innings.

The Knights (12-3) were down to their last breath when Connor Walsh delievered a two-out single, in the seventh. After a pickoff attempt went into right field, sending Walsh to third, Michael Weisman beat out an infield single to tie the score.

Georgetown romps on the "road"

Georgetown destroyed Triton 18-1 in a road game that was played at Georgetown due to an unplayable field at Triton. The Royals exploded for seven first inning runs and never looked back. Joe Esposito had a tremendous game with a double, triple, and grand slam. Anthony Conte held Triton to eight hits over seven solid innings of work.

Triton led 5-0 in the bottom of the fourth before allowing six unanswered runs over the next three innings. Blaise Whitman took the loss in relief of Jake Martin. Mike McCarthy was 2 for 3 with two RBIs for Triton. Brendan O'Neil was 2 for 4 with two stolen bases.

With the score tied 6-6 in the top of the ninth, Zach Eddy drew a two-out walk and Sean Milley followed with a double to left-center to drive Eddy home and give Pentucket baseball a 7-6 win.
