Read More »Depsite being pushed to the limit by Haverhill, Andover was able to come away with a 3-2 victory in yesterday's girls tennis Division 1 North first round. Maggie Carter (third singles) and the first doubles team of Rachel Trotta and Kirsten Arvidson both registered perfect 6-0, 6-0 victories. Arvidson filled in admirably for Satin Zarkar, who is likely lost for the postseason with rotator cuff damage. Haverhill's Meghan Cokely and Lindsey Boland gritted out a pair of three-game victories out of first and second singles respectively to help keep the Hillies alive.
