Taylor Robinson amply rewarded shutout, 10-strikeout pitching from senior Trevor Behrendt in Haverhill's 17-0 shellacking of Billerica. Eight runs in the fourth inning did the damage led by a three-run double from clean-up hitter Robinson (four hits, five RBIs, three runs scored) and a three-run homer from Zach Cox.

Walsh notches first win

Brendan Walsh pitched six strong innings to improve to 1-2 on the season in Central Catholic's 8-3 win over Billerica. Marc Crowley cracked a two-run homer in the first to set the tone for the Raiders, and Tim Wheeler was a perfect 3 for 3 at the plate.

Eyssi wins it for Methuen

In his first varsity at-bat Mike Eyssi singled in Matt Richardson in the bottom of the seventh to give Methuen a 3-2 walk-off win over Billerica. "We competed all day and battled back in the end," said Methuen coach Dave Fabrizio whose team didn't have a hit for the first five innings. Senior Isaac Rivera kept the Rangers in it striking out four en route to the complete game win.
