Royals win fourth, beat HW

The Georgetown Royals (4-9) only scored three first quarter points, but held Hamilton-Wenham scoreless for the first six minutes of the second quarter to turn the corner and hold on for the win, 50-43. Taryn O'Connell had a huge night with 20 points, 16 rebounds, and four steals, and Shannon Hartford (4 assists) and Haley Gisonno (10 points) played well in the victory.

Pentucket 48, Hamilton-Wenham 21

In the first night of back-to-back games, Pentucket outscored Hamilton-Wenham 17-0 in the first quarter and cruised to victory from there. Kirsten Daamen had 16 points, eight rebounds and five blocks. Ashley Viselli had 12 points. The Sachems will travel to Notre Dame of Hingham (9-3) a Division 2 team, tomorrow night.

Triton 43, Hamilton-Wenham 27

After much of the Triton team had battled the flu for the past couple of weeks, the Vikings got back in the win column with a slow-paced, yet solid win over Hamilton-Wenham, 43-27.

Lauren Mihalchik led the Vikings with 12 points and six rebounds, and Paige Stokes made a nice contribution with eight points and five rebounds.

Hamilton-Wenham 44, Amesbury 41

Kerri Salvatore and Deryn Zahoruiko scored 15 points each for Amesbury (2-6). Hamilton-Wenham led 16-9 at halftime.

"We did not play well in the first half," Amesbury coach Chris Perry said. "We actually had a lead for a while in the second half, but they beat us at the free throw line."

Taryn O'Connell led Georgetown with 16 points and nine rebounds. Rachel Sherman added seven points and six rebounds.
