The future, as in next season, looks pretty bright for Newburyport, who after a slow start finished with a three-game winning streak.

The Clippers were again led by a balanced scoring attack with Lindsey Tomasz's 11 points and 10 rebounds, Caitlin Hill's 10 points, and Sam Baribeault's 10 points. Keri Salvatore had a game-high 18 points for Amesbury.

Dana Zahoruiko led Amesbury with 12 points. Kerri Salvator added 10 for the Indians (5-12). Masconomet led 29-21 at halftime.

"It got away from us in the third quarter," Amesbury coach Chris Perry said.

The Indians (5-11) received 13 points from Deryn Zahoruiko. Rebecca Crochiere and Keri Salvatore added 12 each. The game was tied 25-25 at halftime.

Rachelle Bourque (10 points) and Paige Stokes (6 points, 10 rebounds) led a hardnosed effort for Triton, who beat Amesbury, 41-34. Lauren Mihalchik also had a nice game with eight points and 13 rebounds for the Vikes, while Kerri Salvatoer led Amesbury with 11 points.

Gabby Magnifico led the Indians with 12 points, but Amesbury got run off the boards, which was the difference in the game as Lynnfield won, 46-32.

The Amesbury Indians (4-8) struggled from the tip against the Wilmington Wildcats, falling 54-38. Gabby Magnifico led the Indians with 10 points, while Colleen Brockmyre added nine, and Deryn Zahoruiko tallied eight points and nine boards. The score was 33-13 at the half. Wilmington's Amy Fahey led the Wildcats with 17 points.

Whittier may have fallen to Amesbury, 62-42, but freshman Christina Medley had a night to remember. Medley racked up 21 points, hitting six 3-pointers, and added 14 rebounds and seven blocks.

Danielle Fournier provided a spark off the bench, scoring all five of her points as North Andover built an eight-point lead on its way to downing Amesbury 35-26. Fournier finished with seven rebounds and Jackie Sullivan stood out while tying for the team-high with seven points.

Kerri Salvatore and Deryn Zahoruiko scored 15 points each for Amesbury (2-6). Hamilton-Wenham led 16-9 at halftime.

"We did not play well in the first half," Amesbury coach Chris Perry said. "We actually had a lead for a while in the second half, but they beat us at the free throw line."
