Gabby Magnifico led the Indians with 10 points, while Colleen Brockmyre added nine, and Deryn Zahoruiko tallied eight points and nine boards. The score was 33-13 at the half. Wilmington's Amy Fahey led the Wildcats with 17 points.

Howeve, turnovers (19 overall) killed the Vikings in the second half and the team lost its momentum as Wilmington took over. Read More »The Methuen girls basketball team topped Wilmington yesterday, 61-56, to improve to 1-1 thanks to stellar individual efforts from Rashidat Agboola and Katelyn Ortiz. Ortiz led all scorers with 24 points including one 3-pointer, and Agboola had a double-double with 22 points and 10 rebounds. Courtney Murach chipped in with nine rebounds to go along with four points. Making the victory even more impressive is the fact that the Rangers were outscored 21-10 in the final frame.

The Scarlet Knights were led by returning Eagle Tribune All-Star Nicole Zahoruiko, who had 11 points and nine rebounds.
