Haverhill grabbed an early 11-point lead, but could not keep up that momentum and fell to Beverly 87-50 in the Division 1 Round of 32 on Friday. Jeremy Valdez scored a team-high 12 points for the Hillies.

Alejandro Delgado knocked down a shot with two seconds left to give Haverhill the lead, and Patrick Roche blocked a shot to clinch the Hillies' 71-70 victory over Fitchburg. The win earned the Hillies (10-10) a tournament berth in their final regular season game. Colin Snyder scored a season-high 22 points, knocking down six 3-pointers, and Jeremy Valdez added 16 points and 11 rebounds for the winners.

Methuen clinched a share of the MVC Division 2 title with a 60-43 win over Haverhill and can win it outright with a win Friday. The Hillies had no answers for Isaac Allen (26, 6 3's) and Jesus Carpio (25, 4 3's). AD Matt Curran said this was the Rangers' first league title since 2012. 

Haverhill boys basketball topped Tewksbury 57-46 for the team's fifth straight win. Jeremy Valdez led the way with 18 points and Colin Snyder had 15 points on five 3-pointers. The Hillies are now 9-7 on the year.

Colin Snyder scored 15 points on 5 3-pointers, Jeremy Valdez had 14 points and 12 rebounds, and Alejandro Delgrado added 11 points as Haverhill downed Billerica, 55-47.

Colin Snyder knocked down four 3-pointers in the second half, and finished the game with 17 points as Haverhill beat Chelmsford 63-45. Alejandro Delgado added 12 points and double-digit rebounds.

Alejandro Delgado scored a game-high 23 points as Haverhill topped North Andover 68-57. Jeremy Valdez added 12 points for the Hillies, while Zach Wolinski led the Scarlet Knights with 20 points.

Isaac Allen knocked down four 3-pointers on his way to 22 points and Jesus Carpio added three treys and finished with 17 points as Methuen topped Haverhill 77-44 on Friday.

Haverhill's Alejandro Delgado scored 26 points, but the Hillies fell to Dracut 80-66.
