Large Champs

North Andover raced past Methuen to finish the dual meet season at 5-0 and claim the MVC Large title. Mason Semaniuk won the shot and discus while Will Gossman threw the javelin a school record 169-0, beating Scott Driscoll's 161-8 from 2005. Methuen's Henry Rosa swept the sprints.

Still unbeaten

In a battle of 3-0 squads, North Andover beat Central Catholic, 94-51. Peter Martel, Will Gossman and Andrey Sorokin were all double winners. Martel had a huge anchor leg to win a thriller in the 4x100. Central's Dominic Tritto won three individual events.

Peter Martel had another huge day and Mason Semaniuk (shot), Nathan Jacques (discus) and Will Gossman (javelin) swept the throws as North Andover beat Haverhill, 118-26. The Hillies got double wins from Ken Howshan and Connor Firek.

Huge Knights' win

 

In a real dogfight, North Andover won the final event — the 4x400 relay behind Andrew Howard, Jack Determan, Owen Phelan and Will Gossman to defeat perennial power Lowell 76-69 in boys track. Peter Martel set the school record in the 200 with a 22.03, doubled in the 100 and also anchored the winning 4x100 relay. Gossman also won the 400 and javelin and Determan was impressive in winning the mile in 4:34.06.

Palmisano Power

Matthew Palmisano won two individual events and a relay and Peter Martel won two individual events as North Andover opened the season with a 105-40 win over Andover. Cameron Kim and D.J. Walsh were double winners for the Warriors.
