Even with star senior Tatum Shaw forced to sit out, Andover's girls were too much for Chelmsford, prevailing 53-39. Amelia Hanscom led the way for the Warriors with 18 points with Anna Foley close behind with 17 points. Andover will face Central at 7:30 Thursday in the MVC Cup finals at Chelmsford.

Tatum Shaw (17 points), Amelia Hanscom (14) and Anna Foley (13) were too much for North Andover as Andover rolled to the 45-30 win.

Tatum Shaw scored 26 points to surpass 1,000 in her career and lead Andover to a 52-31 Senior Night win over Billerica at the Dunn Gym. Fellow senior Paige Gillette backed her with 8 points. Shaw now has 1,004 points.

After a scary early-season knee injury, Anna Foley made her return Friday. The talented 6-2 sophomore had 14 points and Tatum Shaw had 19 as Andover topped Chelmsford, 49-41.

Amelia Hanscom made the front end of a 1 and 1 with 3.0 seconds left to give Andover a 44-43 win over Chelmsford. The sophomore guard had a team-high 17 points and Tatum Shaw added 16.

Tatum Shaw topped 30 points for the third time in four games this winter, and the second time this week, scoring 35 points to lead Andover past Haverhill 67-53. Hillies freshman phenom Colleen Phiri continued to roll with 23 points.

Andover beat Haverhill, 62-50, as Tatum Shaw erupted for 38 points, one of the top outputs in the area in years. Haverhill's Colleen Phiri tossed in 23 points.

ANDOVER — Central Catholic's girls were up to the challenge and then some Friday afternoon.

Central Catholic tripped Andover, 50-43 in overtime, behind the stellar play of Ashley Dinges. The freshman from Haverhill, who last year was at Bradford Christian, had 14 points, 12 rebounds, 3 blocks and 2 steals. Adrianna Niles led the Raiders with 18 points. Tatum Shaw erupted for 31 for host Andover.

Andover sophomore Anna Foley left game late in the first quarter with a knee injury and didn't return.
