METHUEN — St. John's Prep's Rawson Iwanicki of Andover is one very confident freshman, so much so that some might call him cocky.
But that would be a mistake because Iwanicki, as he showed Saturday at the Division 1 North sectional, has good reason to be confident. By defeating Lawrence's talented John Vasquez 8-3 in the finals, Iwanicki improved to his season record to a sterling 45-2.

A first-year wrestler, like so many of the Lancers, Chhy has gradually progressed since the season started. And Saturday he took it another step forward with two key wins, the final being a pin in the last match of the day to clinch a 42-33 win over Andover in the finals of the Hillie Duals.

Due to an unjury, Sean Ballou and Brendan Major were botyh forced to bump up in weight classes and both delivered as Andover captured the Duxbury Duals, defeating improved Lowell 42-36 in the finals, to improve to 13-1. Ballous bumped up from 170 to 195 and Major from 195 to 220 and both had three pins.
