 LYNN — No. 7 Lawrence trailed by just three points at halftime and 10 points after three quarters, but No. 2 Lynn English posted a whopping 32 points in the fourth to beat the Lancers 93-63 in the Division 1 North quarterfinals Friday night.

LAWRENCE – Eleven days after closing the regular season with an 11-point loss to Andover, Lawrence got a little postseason revenge.

And after advancing to the Division 1 North quarterfinals with their 60-54 victory in Tuesday’s first-round, the Lancers now look for retribution against Lynn English, which knocked off Lawrence in last year’s quarters en route to a state championship.

ANDOVER — On senior night, Andover's Kyle Rocker was one determined senior Friday night.

LAWRENCE – After struggling offensively for the better part of three quarters, the visiting Lancers were staring at a six-point deficit entering the fourth Tuesday night.

LAWRENCE — If only Lawrence could have sustained their first half performance Friday night.

The Lancers played a tremendous first half against unbeaten Lowell and led 37-25 heading into the break. Unfortunately, the second half was not as productive as the Red Raiders (17-0) charged back to claim a 64-63 victory.

Gabe Zorrilla poured in 37 points and had 17 rebounds as Lawrence took apart North Andover, 57-44. The Lancers (12-4) were 0 for 13 on 3-pointers but Zorrilla made sure it didn't matter. Kyle Moore led North Andover with 16 points.

Acton-Boxboro snapped Lawrence's seven-game winning streak, defeating the Lancers 65-62. Brandon Goris had 17 points, 10 assists and 8 rebounds in a losing cause. 

Brandon Goris scored the last nine points of the game as Lawrence (11-3) held off Billerica, 77-73. Goris finished with 21 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists while Jeremiah Melendez chipped in with 15 points and 10 rebounds.

Brandon Goris converted a driving layup as time expired to give Lawrence a 66-65 victory over Jeremiah Burke. He finished with a triple double — 10 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists — while Gabe Zorrilla had 11 points and 11 rebounds and Jeremiah Melendez poured in 28 points for the Lancers (10-3).

Jeremiah Melendez had five 3-pointers and a season-high 20 points and Brandon Goris added 19 points along with 15 assists as Lawrence (9-3) cruised past Tewksbury, 80-56.
