Hollis-Brookline Cavaliers Boys Volleyball '19

Windham title game bound

Top-seeded Windham volleyball earned its first state championship berth since 2013 by battling past upset-minded No. 5 Hollis-Brookline 25-15, 32-30, 25-23 in the state semis.
 
 
Nick Kasprzak tallied 10 kills and Neil Rea had 26 assists for the Jaguars, who will look to earn their first boys volleyball state title in program history on Saturday, when they take on No. 2 Salem at Nashua North High School (6 p.m.) The Blue Devils dealt Windham its only loss of the season.

Timberlane ousted

The defending state champion Timberlane volleyball team fell to Hollis-Brookline, 3-2, in the NHIAA Division 1 quarterfinals. The Owls were led by Jake Morrier with 19 kills and Alex Kakouris with 36 assists in the effort.

Timberlane overcame a 2-0 deficit, winning three straight sets to top Hollis-Brookline, 3-2. Junior Jacob Stewart led the way with 17 kills, while junior Mike Giangregorio had eight kills, 11 service points and four aces. Senior Alexi Kakouris came up big with 31 assists.
