Tyler Carrien scored a game-high 21 points and Mitchell Crowe hit five 3-pointers on his way to 15 points as Methuen rolled over Tewksbury 65-44.

Andrew Lussier scored a team-high 14 points and starred on defense as Methuen beat Billerica 58-54. Onyera Chibuogw added 13 points and Kevin Chege stood out on defense.

The beat rolls on for Andover (10-3) and coach Dave Fazio. The Golden Warriors tripped Methuen, 67-51, to make the state tourney for the 30th year in a row under Fazio, who has made the tourney every year at AHS. Kyle Rocker had 17 points and Stephen Shaw 15 points while Methuen's Mitchell Crowe had 15. 

George Smith was on fire with 23 points on three 3-points to lead Central Catholic to a 83-55 win over Methuen.

Billerica tripped Methuen 74-65. Ranger senior Tyler Carrien scored 17 of his career-high 21 in the second half before fouling out. Onyera Chibuogwu had 14 and Andrew Lussier 13 points.

Mitchell Crowe dropped a team-high 22 points on five 3s as Methuen took down Chelmsford 67-52. Onyera Chibuogwu chipped in 12 for the Rangers, and Tyler Carrien had 11.

Andrew Lussier eruped for 20 points, and Methuen claimed its first win of the season, beating Londonderry 76-46 in the Commonwealth Motor Christmas Classic seventh place game. 

NORTH ANDOVER — Methuen couldn't pull any late-game heroics, falling to Bishop Guertin 57-54 in the Commonwealth Motors Christmas Classic consolation bracket. 

Onyera Chibuogwu led the Rangers (0-5) with 16 points, Mitchell Crowe had 13 and Michael Palmer chipped in 9.

Luis Reynoso scored 24 points and Brandon Goris added 10 as Lawrence beat Methuen, 67-54. The Lancers salted it away with a big 25-6 advantage in the third quarter, fueled by the Lancers' stifling press. For Methuen, Mitchell Crowe had 16 and Tyler Carrien 12.

NORTH ANDOVER — As the rust was wearing off on the rest of the team, North Andover dipped into the paint Friday night.

And that’s where 6-foot-5 senior Garrett Murphy was stationed for the Knights, and he was ready. As many of his teammates were gradually acclimating themselves to the hardcourt against a young Methuen squad, Murphy showed why he was a leading contender for MVP in the North Andover Fall Ball League.
