The Amesbury girls track team started the year off with a 58-28 win over Essex Tech on Saturday. Chelsea Lynch took first in the 600 (1:48.28) and the shot put (31-0 1/2), Caroline Schissel placed first in the 300 (44.89) and freshman Mary Kate McElaney won the 1,000 (3:44.46).
