Three athletes each from Brooks and Phillips wrestling advanced to Nationals by virtue of placing in the top-8 during Saturday's New England championship. They were Corey Gaffney (6th, 106), Kelvin Griffin (2nd, 113) and Anthony Burnett (5th, 285) of Brooks, and Vinny Marino (4th, 132), Eamon Garrity-Rokous (3rd, 152) and Pablo Sanchez (8th, 182) of Phillips.

Kelvin Griffin placed first at 120 pounds to pace Brooks to third place in the Graves Kelsey Class B tournament. Brooks had three wrestlers finish third and four others take fourths.

Brooks improved to 9-2 with wins over Noble (44-29) and Portsmouth Abbey (54-25). Pat Scott (132) and Nick Fulgione, both of North Andover, were perfect on the day and junior 113-pounder Tim Riley had an 8-second pin while winning two matches.

North Andover had no problem sweeping the battle of the Andovers, its closest match being a 58-18 defeat of Andover. Among the highlights were three pins by freshman Carson Milovanovic at 113, a pair of wins by freshman Jaden Gabin at 106, three pins by Eli Tuttle at 145 and three pins by Ethan Ford in two weight classes. For Andover, which beat Brooks and Phillips, Kelvin Davilla was 3-0 at 152.
