Knights drop pair

 

The Northern Essex Community College men's basketball team dropped a pair of games over the weekend at the New Hampshire Tech tournament. The Knights lost the opener 95-93 to NHTI despite 26 points off the bench by Methuen's Evan Hardy on 8 of 11 3-point shooting and then fell ro Central Maine CC 96-81. Salem's Trey Sanford had 17 points in a losing cause.

Seamans paces Central to 3rd

 

Junior Kelsey Seamans had a superb race, finishing fourth overall in 19:50 on Chelmsford's 5K course to pace Central Catholic's girls to third place in the Merrimack Valley Conference girls meet.

Cain leads the pack

Andover's Sarah Cain took first overall in 20:45 as the Golden Warriors beat Methuen 22-36. Sara Fragione led the Rangers in second overall in 21:10.

Opening win

 

Methuen's girls cross country team gave new coach Billy Hart a season-opening win, 24-31 over Chelmsford. Sara Fragione paced the way with a strong second place finish.  Senior Makayla St. Onge was fourth in her first cross country race..
