Pelham was three times just one strike away from pulling the huge upset over No. 1 ranked Portsmouth (16-1). But the defending Division 2 champs got a game-tying two-run single in the bottom of the seventh, then walked-off a 7-6 quarterfinals win when the next batter beat out an infield single. It was still a fantastic effort by the ninth-seeded Pythons (9-9), who got a 2 for 3 from Diggy Lawson and a 2 for 4 day from Matt Poff.

Diggy Lawson singled, stole second and came around to score on a wild pitch for the lone run in Pelham's 1-0 victory over Pembroke. Matt Poff threw a complete-game shutout, allowing just five hits.

Pelham baseball snapped a six-game losing streak to Windham with a 4-3 win. The last time the Pythons beat the Jaguars was May 27, 2014. Matt Poff went 1 for 3 with a pair of RBIs in the win.

Matt Poff pitched six scoreless innings for Pelham, but was replaced in the seventh after the Pythons built a comfortable 4-0 lead. However, after St. Thomas Aquinas plated two runs without any outs, Potts returned to get the final three outs and save a 4-2 win for Pelham. Since he never left the field (he was moved to shortstop), Potts was allowed to go backand pitch.

Jake Kirane blasted a two-run homer to give Pelham the lead, and the Pythons held on for a 6-5 win over Hollis-Brookline.

It was another good day for Matt Poff. The senior pitched 6.1 innings with six Ks to lead Pelham to a 6-5 win over Hollis-Brookline, and also went 2 for 4 with an RBI at the plate. Jake Kirane hit a two-run home run, anf the Pythons rallied to throw out the potential tying run at the plate to end the game.
