Astros earn title ticket

Seb Tonini won No. 1 singles 8-4, John Marineau took No. 2 singles 9-7 and they combined to win top doubles as No. 1 seed Pinkerton beat No. 5 Concord 6-3 in the Division 1 semifinals.

Henry Su and Henry Andrews added singles victories for the Astros, who will host No. 2 Bedford for the Division 1 title on Tuesday at 4 p.m.

Riley Reinert, Chloe Freedman, Madison Allen, Katie Allen, Leah Sears and Victoria Hodosi all won their singles matches, then teamed up to dominated doubles as well as Pinkerton swept Nashua North 9-0.

First varsity win

North Reading's Haley MacIntyre made her first varsity tennis win a memorable one. The junior heated up in the final set of her doubles match with partner Jillian Coveney to earn the 2-6, 6-4, 6-2 win to help the Hornets clinch a 3-2 victory over Masconomet.
