Lawrence won its first game of the season in softball, slugging past Greater Lawrence 27-14. Freshman Jasmine Arias had a grand slam, one of three Lancer home runs, and drove in five runs and winning pitcher Emily Toala also had five RBIs.

Maggie Livingston gave up four hits over four innings, striking out five for her first varsity win in a 13-0 win over Lawrence. Jill Powers and Anna O'Sullivan both had two hits and two RBIs.

Ashley Moore hit a three-run triple to highlight Haverhill's 13-1 victory over Lawrence. Sarah Cowley added three hits and two RBIs and Sicily DiDomenico struck out nine and allowed just four hits.

Sarah Janco got Central Catholic going early with a three-run home run in the top of the first inning as the Raiders cruised to a 12-2 win over Lawrence. Senior Abby Latham made her pitching debut for the Raiders and tossed two scoreless innings.

Kelsie McGonagle fired a complete-game 3-hitter with eight strikeouts and Nyah Mazzone ws 5-for-5 with 5 RBIs as Methuen blitzed Lawrence, 12-0, in six innings.

Freshman Alicia Habib had two triples, three hits, three RBIs and scored three times as Whittiter blanked Lawrence 9-0. Winning pitcher Nicole Verrette struck out 15 while throwing a two-hitter and Kaley Thibault collected the 100th hit of her career.

Haverhill had a field day with Lawrence pitching, romping to a 23 runs with 28 hits. Lindsay Joubert led the way with four hits, including a double and home run, and four RBIs, Jadynne Hill was 5 for 6 with four runs scored and Sarah Cowley was 4 for 6 with three runs scored and two RBIs. In her first varsity game, Lawrence junior Iveth Cedeno hit a home run. 

Methuen's bats were smoking to open the season, smacking five home runs and 26 hits in a 28-1 romp over Lawrence. Nyah Mazzone led the way with two home runs and six RBIs while Courtney Belanger (4 for 5), Kaylla Allbee and Kerri Horan (3 for 3)also slugged homers,
