Fagan's fabulous

DeeDee Fagan had three first half goals, all within the first ten minutes of the game. Her first two came within ten seconds of each other, and the North Andover girls soccer team finished with eight on the day. Jenn Pino also had a goal and an assist, and regular goaltender Maya Miatkowski had a pair of assists. The Scarlet Knights improved to 11-2-1.

Underclassmen played a big role in North Reading's 5-0 win over Manchester-Essex in girls soccer. Freshman Jessie Valenti had two goals and sophomore Brittany Angiolillo one goal in the win while sophomore Erin Brooks turned aside five shots in the Hornets' net.

Pentucket 8, Manchester 1

Pentucket used six different goal scorers to pound Manchester Essex, 8-1. Breanna Yocum and Stephanie Fitzgerald each netted a pair to go with goals from Erin Troy, Julia Quattrini, Sarah Selig and Katharine Torrisi. "I thought it was nice to have a number of different girls score," said head coach Greg Scruton. "It showed that we have a balanced attack. We moved the ball well, and were able to rely on others, not just one person needs to score for us, which is great to see."
