Salem rolls to win in tourney opener

Chris Wilson scored a pair of goals and assisted on another to help lead No. 8 Salem to a 7-3 win over No. 9 Nashua South-Pelham in the New Hampshire Division 1 first round.
 
"We played a strong game tonight," said Blue Devils coach Mark McGinn. "A lot of guys stepped up."

 
Anthony Survilas (assist) was one of five Devils with a single goal each, while goalie Brady Roux made 18 saves and had an assist on a goal. Salem will next travel to take on Concord in the Division 1 quarterfinals. The time is tentatively set for 7:30 p.m.

Three in the third

Down two goals heading into the final period, Salem ripped three unanswered tallies to take a 4-3 victory over Nashua South. David Jacobs stood tall in net with 13 saves.
