Monster debut

Playing in his first game since being called up from JV, Triton sophomore Brandon Baletsa went off, draining six 3-pointers for 18 points in Triton's 65-63 double overtime loss to Lynnfield on Monday. Will Parsons led the way with 25 points, including five 3-pointers, and 6-foot-7 center Jared Drouin had a monster defensive performance, grabbing 13 rebounds while blocking 11 shots.

Clippers take control of CAL

Trailing 38-37 after three quarters, the Newburyport boys basketball team erupted for 31 points in the fourth quarter to blow by Lynnfield 68-55. WIth the win, Newburyport remains unbeaten in the Cape Ann League and now holds sole possession of first place. Ryan Archie (17 points) and George Coryell (16 points) had career best performances, and Casey McLaren led the way with 22 points.
