Despite three goals from senior Ryan Sifferlen, North Andover fell to Swampscott, 4-3, in overtime. Sifferlen netted his one in the first half, off an assist from Romulo Reis. He potted two more in the second. Goalkeeper Dan Klisiewicz stopped 10 shots.

Ryan Sifferlen scored with 10 seconds remaining to pull North Andover boys soccer even for a 2-2 tie with Wilmington.

North Andover put on a scoring display yesterday against Manchester Essex as four players registered at least a single score. Jorge Nunez and John Carney had two goals apiece, Ryan McCormick had a goal and two assists, and Gareth Dudney added another goal to cap the scoring. Keeper Mike Levy had seven saves to earn the shutout.

Suffering from a lot of the bumps and bruises of a long season to many of its key players, Triton had to make several lineup changes heading into a big match against North Andover. The moves paid off as coach Brad Smith said his team played its most consistent, hard-nosed game of the season in a huge tie, 0-0.

The Vikings (3-4-3) fell to a very strong North Andover squad yesterday. Andreas Contreras and Shaffy Roell scored for the Vikings. Kevin Corrigan, Michael Emerson and Sam Scatterday also played well for Rockport.

Brother tandemDeadlocked at zero at halftime, the Marchand brothers took controlk for the North Andover boys soccer team yesterday. Sophomore Jay Marchand had two goals and junior brother Ross Marchand had an assist as the Knights (6-1-1) blanked Newburyport 2-0.

North Andover soccer rookie Zach Karalis is already making an impact. The defender, who at 6-1 is a big weapon on offense as well, headed in a Jorge Nunez corner kick that gave the Scarlet Knights an insurance goal in a 3-1 win over Hamilton-Wenham.
