CJ Cincotta, bumped up a weight class for a better match, was up to the challenge, defeating defending 160-pound Div. 2 state champ Blake Hiltz with an 11-2 major decision to highlight North Andover's 47-24 victory over Dracut. Jamil Nickerson (120) and Will Schimmueller (182) also had big wins for the Knights (47-24), the latter coming in overtime.

Pastrana wins title

 

Greater Lawrence senior Malib Pastrana not only won his weight class at the Chelmsford tournament, he dominated.

Pastrana started with three first-period pins at 195 pounds and then setled for a 12-2 major decision in the finals. With Abel Orta finishing second at 152 for the Reggies, Gr. Lawrence finished in 12th place, two places behind Whittier.

Prescott impressive

Sam Prescott won an impressive 10-5 decision at 152 over Tewksbury's Brady Hiltz, who placed at the Lowell Holiday Tournament, to help Haverhill win its match. It was Prescott's second vicory over Hiltz this season.
