NHIAA Golf: 3-peat for Astros' Thibodeau

SALEM — For the third consecutive year, Pinkerton’s Lauren Thibodeau is the NHIAA girls individual golf champion.
Thibodeau fired a 4-over 75 at Campbell’s Scottish Highlands on Saturday to win the event by four strokes over Hannah Drew of Keene. Fellow Astro Erin DelloRusso finished the event in seventh, firing a 90.
With the win, Thibodeau is the third female to win three individual state championships, and only the second to do it in consecutive years: Jeannette Pierce (Concord) 1993-95 and Tracey Martin (Bishop Guertin) 2005, 2007-08. A junior, Thibodeau could become the first female to win four individual state championships next year.
Pinkerton plays at Hanover Country Club Thursday to compete for the team state championship.
