Andover's girls soccer team held tough with talented Lincoln-Sudbury, trailing just 1-0 at the half, but L-S wore down the Warriors in the second half and pulled away for a 5-0 victory in the Division 1 North quarterfinals. Izzy Shih had six saves for Andover, which finished its season at 10-8-2.

BOXFORD — Trailing 1-0 at halftime, the Andover girls soccer team battled back with two goals in the last 10 minutes to beat Masconomet 2-1 in the first round of the Division 1 North tournament. Lydia Rankin scored the tying goal for Andover, and then with about five minutes left, Sara Dever came up with the winner to punch her team's ticket to the North quarterfinal. No. 12 seeded Andover (10-7-2) will now face No. 4 Lincoln-Sudbury in the Division 1 North quarterfinals on Monday at 2 p.m. The two teams faced off in Andover's regular season finale last Saturday, and L-S won that meeting 5-1.

Samantha Neyman's first half goal was enough for North Andover to beat rival Andover 1-0. Both teams are now 5-4-1 on the season. Jillian Good made the assist on the goal, Caleigh Twomey made 6 saves in net and Mary O'Connor played a great game defensively.

Andover trailed Dracut by two goals early in the second half, but Lydia Rankin's second goal of the game followed by two goals from Maddie Mucher capped a stellar comeback for the Golden Warriors, who won 4-3. Mucher also added an assist with her two tallies.

Beth Nash scored the game's lone goal in the first half and the Andover defense did not allow a shot on goal as the Golden Warriors downed Lowell 1-0.
