For the third year in a row, the Andover boys lacrosse team faced off against Acton-Boxboro in the state tournament, and after splitting the last two meetings, Andover wound up dropping the rubber match 13-7 in Saturday's Division 1 North quarterfinal matchup.
Andover trailed 8-1 at halftime and was unable to climb back into the game, with the offense not coming to life until the fourth quarter, when the Golden Warriors scored four late goals. Michael Biddle and Tom Haut each had two goals for Andover, and Andy Soucy had a goal and two assists.
