Improving Andover won four times in a dual tourney at Franklin Tech to improve to 12-16-1. Among those wrestling well for the Warriors were 120-pounder Kevin Kiely, 126-pounder Nate Dykstra and 138-pounder Ryan Surehan, all of whom were unbeaten.

Shaun Mears came back from a 2-0 deficit to prevail with a 5-2 decision in the final match of the night, at 160 pounds, to give Whittier Tech a 34-34 tie against improving Andover. Matt Donoghue, in his first match back this year after knee surgery, had a huge 6-5 decision for the Warriors at 106 pounds. 

Matt Marcotte and Matt Stamas both went 4-0 on the day as Andover split four meets at Lincoln-Sudbury, losing a 40-39 heartbreaker to Woburn.  Ryan Surehan and Kevin Kiely both went 3-1 for the Warriors (8-15-1).

It was senior night for the Haverhill wrestling team, but it was a freshman who stood out. Sam Prescott continued his recent surge with a third-period pin of Andover's Nate Dykstra at 126 pounds as Haverhill (15-9) whipped Andover 46-21.

Nate Dykstra took a 3-1 decision and Matt Marcotte and Ryan Surehan followed with pins as Andover won its fourth wrestling meet of the season, 43-16 over Dracut. 

Methuen improved to 13-0 with an overwhelming sweep of a home five-team meet, scoring at least 57 points in all four meets and blasting a solid Lowell squad 60-18. Billy Wehring, Travis Abdallah, Dan O'Connell, Will Travers, Chris Saba and Liam McDonnell were all 4-0 with four pins on the day.

Needing a pin to clinch a tie, sophomore Kelly Howard delivered with a third-period fall at 220 pounds as Andover deadlocked North Andover 39-39. Also, Pat Meagher had a key 8-4 decision at 152 to start a string of seven straight wins, four by forfeit. 

Matt Marcotte was 4-0 at 132 poundsand Pat Meagher was 3-1 at 152 but Andover won only once in a dual-meet tournament. The Warriors lost a 36-33 decision to St. John's Shrewsburt that would have given them a split on the day had they won.

Luis Santana went 2-0 at 152 pounds to help lead Lawrence to a sweep over local rivals Andover and Greater Lawrence. Felix Guerrero, Yeriel Torres, Miguel Torres and Shaun Santos also went 2-0 for Lawrence, as did Luis Torres, Malib Pastrana, Jarred Garcia and Christian Roman for Greater Lawrence and Nate Dykstra and Matt Marcotte for Andover.

Andover couldn't keep pace with Brooks, falling 51-20, but the Warriors did edge Phillips Academy 39-35 in the battle of the Andovers. Matt Stamos was 2-0 for the Warriors and had a key win against Phillips and Matt Meagher also wrestled well. Brooks whipped Phillips 48-25 to improve to 3-0.
