Shaun Mears came back from a 2-0 deficit to prevail with a 5-2 decision in the final match of the night, at 160 pounds, to give Whittier Tech a 34-34 tie against improving Andover. Matt Donoghue, in his first match back this year after knee surgery, had a huge 6-5 decision for the Warriors at 106 pounds.

It was senior night for the Haverhill wrestling team, but it was a freshman who stood out. Sam Prescott continued his recent surge with a third-period pin of Andover's Nate Dykstra at 126 pounds as Haverhill (15-9) whipped Andover 46-21.

Methuen improved to 13-0 with an overwhelming sweep of a home five-team meet, scoring at least 57 points in all four meets and blasting a solid Lowell squad 60-18. Billy Wehring, Travis Abdallah, Dan O'Connell, Will Travers, Chris Saba and Liam McDonnell were all 4-0 with four pins on the day.

Andover couldn't keep pace with Brooks, falling 51-20, but the Warriors did edge Phillips Academy 39-35 in the battle of the Andovers. Matt Stamos was 2-0 for the Warriors and had a key win against Phillips and Matt Meagher also wrestled well. Brooks whipped Phillips 48-25 to improve to 3-0.
