Nate Gaw scored in overtime to lift the Londonderry boys soccer team to a Division 1 North quarterfinal win over Salem. Andrew Fichera scored in the second half for Salem to tie the game.

SALEM — This time, Andrew Fichera and the Salem boys soccer team was ready for defending champion Pinkerton.

Back in September, Pinkertion had snapped the Blue Devils' four-game winning streak to open the season, with a solid 1-0 victory. Six weeks later, Salem got some revenge at the most opportune time with a 3-1 victory in the first round of the Division 1 tournament.

It was a good day for Salem boys soccer, and an even better day for the Fichera and Doucette families. Andrew Fichera had 2 goals and 2 assists, his brother Josh had a goal, and Andrew and Ryan Doucette each had a goal as well to pick up the 5-0 win over Merrimack.

Andrew Doucette scored with three minutes left into the first overtime to give Salem a 1-0 win over Dover. Drew Hailey got the shutout with eight saves.

Andrew Doucette gave Salem boys soccer a huge boost with three goals in Tuesday's matchup with Manchester Central. The hat trick ensured Salems' 5-3 victory, and continued the Blue Devils hot stretch of coming out with points in five out of their past six games.   

Ryan Doucette scored the go-ahead goal, and brother Andrew Doucette followed with the eventual game-winner as Salem topped Keene 3-2.

Trailing by one with six minutes to play, Salem's Alec Svenson scored the game-tying goal to salvage a 2-2 tie against Londonderry. Andrew Fichera scored the first goal for Salem, and Londonderry's goals were scored by Griffin Cowles and Nick Anderson.

Andrew Fichera scored the game-winning goal in overtime as Salem beat Timberlane boys soccer 3-2. Mike Wakim assisted on the game-winner.

Pinkerton's boys soccer team started the season slow but it continued its recent upswing with a 1-0 victory over previously unbeaten Salem. Colin Coutts scored in the first half on an assist from Cobi Moore and generally controlled play throughout.
