Astros upset Spaulding

The Pinkerton softball team pulled off a stunning upset in the first round of the N.H. Division 1 state tournament, knocking off the No. 1 overall seed Spaulding 13-9. Caitlin Hogan went 3-for-3 with 4 runs scored, and Abby Amato went 1-for-5 with 2 runs and 3 RBIs.

Hogan goes deep

Caitlin Hogan had a huge day for the Pinkerton softball team, driving a home run to cap off a 5-for-5 performance at the plate, while also coming around to score four runs. Despite her efforts, Pinkerton lost to Bishop Guertin 17-14.

McKenzie Anderson had three hits, including an inside-the-park homer and Pinkerton lashed 17 hits in a 12-5 rout of Nashua South. Ashley Walalis had two hits, two RBIs and allowed only one run while pitching.

Lauren Phillips had a gome run and was 4 for 5 as Pinkerton outlasted Merrimack 13-11 in softball. Caitlin Hogan was also 4 for 5 for the Astros, who handed coach Kristen Abbott her first win.
