The Andover boys tennis team is headed back to the Division 1 North Finals after beating Newton South 3-2 thanks in large part to a gritty performance by junior Drew Rooks.
Rooks won his match at third singles 5-7, 7-5, 6-3 to clinch the victory for the Golden Warriors, but not before first having to fight through painful cramps that left him hobbled for much of the match.

Coach Mike Wartman has well over 500 wins but this has to be one of the most special. His Golden Warriors swept the singles with Ryan Fu winning at No. 1 Andrew Imrie at No. 2 and Drew Rooks at No. 3. The second doubles team of Owen Meech-Arman Rafiee gutted out a 6-7, 6-3 (10-8) win.
