Freshman standout Brooke Rooney did it all for Timberlane's girls Monday in a 42-28 victory over Exeter in the Oyster River Tournament. Looney had a career-high 23 points and also had 10 rebounds and 6 steals. Moesha Murray pulled down 15 rebounds as the Owls improved to 2-3.

After going winless last year, the Timberlane girls basketball team opened its season on a high note, clipping St. Thomas 40-33. Janelle Colon had a career-high 20 points to lead the way, while Moesha Murphy had 10 points and 10 rebounds and freshman guard Brooke Rooney chipped in with 7 points. The Owls had lost 19 games in a row dating back to the 2012-13 season.
