Shutting down Masco

 

Andover's boys lacrosse team gave up only one goal in the first half and went on to knock off Masconomet 11-5 in Division 1 North action. Jake Lakos scored five goals, George Cardillo added four, Jesse Greaves stood out on faceoffs and Walter Pappas was excellent in net for the Warriors (16-6), making 18 saves.

George Cardillo had three goals and Will Eikenberry and Hunter Tyrrell added two each as Andover beat Billerica 12-7 to clinch its first outright MVC championship since 2006, according to coach Wayne Puglisi. The MVC 1 champs were unbeaten overall in the conference at 11-0.
