Pinkerton's girls lacrosse team, after whipping Salem 18-10 yesterday, will get a chance for revenge Wednesday in the Division 1 finals when they face No. 1-seed Souhegan. In the regular season finale, Souhegan edged the Astros (17-3), 14-13. Against Salem, Kennedy Daziel led the way with five goals and an assist. Maggie McCarthy chipped in whith three goals and an assist.

Lizzy Twomey scored six goals to lead No. 6 Salem to a 16-11 upset of No. 3 Nashua North in the New Hampshire Division 1 quarterfinals.

Ashley Hayes added four goals and Lyssa Perry scored three times for the Blue Devils, which advance to face Pinkerton in the Division 1 semifinals on Saturday at Southern New Hampshire University.

Salem scored nine times in the second half to pull away from Timberlane 13-7 in girls lacrosse. Lizzy Twomey led the way with four goals and an assist and Kara Thomas had 13 saves in goal.

Ashley Matthews netted the game-winner in OT as Salem girls lacrosse won 10-9 over Manchester Central.

The Blue Devils overcame a 6-2 halftime deficit to tie it up and send it to overtime.
