Billerica outscored North Andover 31-13 in the middle two quarters to upend the Knights 53-38 in a Division 2 North first round game. 

North Andover's girls qualified for the tournament with a 66-54 victory over Methuen as Leah Chittick scored 20 points and had six assists, Megan Collins had 16 points and 12 rebounds and Mackenzie Mello chipped in with 10 rebounds.

Whittier Tech's girls had their biggest win of the year, 73-52 over Division 1 North Andover. Andrea Terranova had a season-high 21 points and Michaela Martin matched her with 21 points.

Abbie Karalis scored 20 points and Leah Chittick had 22 points and five steals, but foul trouble doomed North Andover in the fourth quarter and the Scarlet Knights fell to Tewksbury 53.51.

Leah Chittick led the Knights with 29 points, four steals and six assists as North Andover girls posted an impressive 51-49 victory over Billerica.

The Knights sealed the win in the fourth with a Megan Collins 3-pointer. The Scarlet Knights outscored Billerica 14-8 during the final quarter. 

North Andover's girls basketball team started slowly but rallied in the second half to take down Lowell, 59-56. Abbie Karalis finally put the Knights (6-4) ahead with a field goal in the fourth quarter and Mackenzie Mello made two key free throws in the closing seconds to seal the win.

Megan Collins (22 points) sank her fourth 3-pointer of the night with three seconds left then Andover missed the front end of a 1-and-1. But North Andover couldn't get off a desperation last shot and Andover held on 47-46. Colleen Caveney had 20 points in the win.
