Leadoff batter Hannah Paitchell had three more hits, scoring twice and driving in a run, to lift her batting average to .500, as Pelham clipped Windham 7-5 in a battle of two teams battling to qualify for the tournament. Jordan Parece threw a three-hitter for the win and helped her own cause with two hits and two runs scored.

Sophomore Hannah Paitchell had four hits, four RBIs and scored four runs as Pelham's improving softball team mercied Manchester West 19-3.

Sophomore Jordan Parece went the distance, scattering five hits while striking out 10, as Pelham shaded Sanborn 6-4 in a mini-upset.

"She had a real good day," said Pythons coach Todd Lozeau, whose club improved to 4-6. "She has good speed and she mixes it up. She has a pretty good change-up. The last couple starts she's been dominant."

Pelham's softball team had undefeated Hollis-Brookline on the ropes, leading 3-1, before dropping a 5-3 decision. With surging Hannah Paitchel drilling three hits, the Pythons outhit H-B 9-4 and got a strong game on the mound from Jordan Parece.

Sophomore Jordan Parece hurled a two-hitter, striking out nine, and added two doubles on offense as Pelham's softball team beat Milford for the first time in at least five years, 5-2.

Pelham's softball team struggled offensively in its first two games, so it went "small ball" with success in an 8-3 victory over Sanborn. The Pythons bunted six times for three hits and three sacrifices. Jordan Parece got the win and scored three times for Pelham.
