Rain revenge

Pentucket's girls lacrosse team qualified for the state tournament for the fifth straight year with a satisfying 13-11 rain-soaked win over Triton, a team that had beaten the Sachems 15-14 — also in the rain — earlier in the year. Colleen Murray led the Sachems (8-5-1) with six goals and an assist while Kayla O'Connor added five goals and two assists.

Jaclyn Torres made her comeback from an injury with a pair of goals and Jaymi Cohen, Jackie Alois and Bridget Thibodeau anchored an impressive defense as Andover dumped Triton 17-7.

Triton 17, Georgetown 12

Kristen Pingree left it all out on the field for Georgetown, scoring eight goals, but Triton was able to overcome her efforts and prevail, 17-12. Nikki Perakis registered her first goal of the season and goalie Paige Murphy kept the Royals in the hunt with 12 big saves.
