Brett Pittera won every fourth-quarter faceoff as Salem boys lacrosse outscored Nashua South 7-0 in the fourth and won 14-8.

Brett Pittera (goal and two assists) turned almost every faceoff into a Salem possession, winning all but one of the two dozen he had, as the Blue Devils defeated Manchester Memorial, 16-7. Nick Harbilas exploded for six goals and an assist in the win.

After missing the previous four games with a broken thumb, Rob Hart returned to score seven goals and lead Londonderry to a 13-4 win over Salem.

With three minutes left in the game, Sean Givens tallied his third goal of the day, the game-winner as Londonderry bested Salem 8-7.

Salem's boys lacrosse team blanked Nashua North in the first half and moved out to a 9-0 lead before giving up its first goal in a 14-7 victory. Dylan Kyriakakis led the way with four goals and an assist.

Rob Auer scored the game winner with 1:20 left. He was assisted by Connor Lyons.

Auer, who is in his first year as a full-time starter, netted three goals in all to lift Salem to a 7-6 victory over Timberlane. 

Ben Brock scored two goals and had three assists as Georgetown opened its season with an 8-5 victory over Salem (Mass).
