Lawrence's volleyball team tuned up for the state tournament with an impressive 3-2 win over a strong Milford team. Delfy Soler had 26 kills and 16 digs for the Lancers (17-3). Christopher Gil had 39 assists. 

Ader Mezidor was unbeaten on the day as Greater Lawrence went 2-2 on the day. Aden Ranno was 3-1 and impressive at 126 and Daniel Wahlgren was 3-1 at 132.

Senior Andre Wilson continued his strong play at the net with 16 kills as Lawrence beat Milford 3-1.

Greater Lawrence dropped a pair in a rugged quad-meet but tied Tewksbury 39-39. Seven different Reggies went 2-1 on the day.

Andover volleyball knocked off Central power Milford to open the season 3-1, with junior setter Jeff Hunt recording a career high 56 assists to lead the way. Angelo Cerbone led the team with 15 kills and Devin Dean had eight aces.

Basketball star Connor Merinder scored 11 kills in his first ever volleyball game, but Andover fell to Milford 25-21, 25-11, 25-12.

Andy Henriquez led Lawrence's volleyball team both with his play at the net (16 kills) and passing (30 assists) as the Lancers outlasted Milford 3-2, winning the clincher 15-13.

Despite striking out 17 times against three-time state Gatorade Player of the Year Shannon Smith, Central Catholic had the tying run on base in the sixth inning before falling to Milford, 3-0, in the Division 1 semifinals. Krista Maloney's double and a pair of walks loaded the bases with two outs before a strikeout ended the Raiders' lone rally of the night. Leslie Moore had Central's other hit, a second-inning single, while drawing a pair of walks.

Lawrence's season ended with a state semifinal loss, but the Lancers still piled up some amazing numbers during their 23-2 season. Here are a few of the most significant: • A 21-match winning streak in which it outscored opponents by a 63-9 margin. • Posted 16 shutouts • Entered last night's match having defeated its previous 13 opponents by a combinied 39-2 with 11 shutouts. "This season meant a lot to all of us," coach Tony Hajjar said of his 16th season. "It was definitely a good season. It was definitely one of my most special teams."

After a strong freshman year, Kaylee Pacunas didn't compete for the Pinkerton gymnastics team last year as a sophomore because her club schedule conflicted with Pinkerton's.
