Emma Reilly scored two goals and assisted on another as No. 6 Andover rolled past No. 11 Concord-Carlisle in the Division 1 North field hockey first round. 

 Central Catholic golfers Mikey Yfantopulos and Josh Lavallee both fired 79s Tuesday at the Division 2 state tournament in Williamstown to tie for 16th place among individuals. Winchester's Trevor Lopez was the medalist with a 71 and Concord-Carlisle was the team champion.

Central Catholic's softball team continued its late season surge, stifling Concord-Carlisle 5-1 behind the pitching of Hayley Rapaglia and clutch hitting. Sarah Janco had two hits and an RBI for the Raiders (11-10) and now has 100 hits in just three years. Central will be at Lincoln-Sudbury Saturday at 3:30.

Methuen tuned up for its Merrimack Valley Conference Wednesday night showdown against Central Catholic by sweeping a home quad-meet, the most impressive win being 46-25 over Dual County League champions Westford Academy. Erick Lucas was 3-0 at 195 and 220 combined and Matt Cabezas and Jarmany Colon both remained undefeated.had strong days

Megan Malolepszy scored her first goal of the season, Julie Thing made 17 saves and Central Catholic's girls skated past Concord-Carlisle 2-0.

Casey Langley led the way with a hat trick to propel the Haverhill hockey team to a commanding 7-3 win over Concord-Carlisle. Jared Libby added a pair of goals in the offensive explosion for the Hillies, and goalie Zach Roughan made 37 saves.

Lewy Baez (182) and Mando Binet (195) continued their fine seasons with a pair of wins as Central Catholic rolled over Beverly and Concord-Carlisle to improve to 15-1.

Junior Michael Harty scored the first two goals of his varsity career, leading North Andover to a 7-1 victory over Concord-Carlisle. Jack Walsh (14 saves) and Patrick Green (2 saves) combined on the win in net, as the Scarlet Knights improved to 7-2-2.

Sophomore Adam Heinze (brother of Nolan, son of Andy) had his first two varsity goals and added an assist as North Andover rolled over Concord-Carlisle in the Jake and Joe's Tourney. His linemates, freshman Charlie Dean (3 assists) and sophomore Cole Fagan (goal, 3 assists) also starred for the Knights, who will play Waltham for the title Sunday at 7 p.m.

Junior Aidan Hollingsworth scored a power play goal in the first period and senior goalie Devin Coonradt stopped 35 shots as Methuen hockey started its season with a 1-0 win over Concord-Carlisle.
