With 0:30 left in the game, Marissa MacPherson fired a shot from the side that found its way into the net for the game-winning goal in Central Catholic's 4-3 victory over Concord-Carlisle. Cara Kuczek made 25 saves for the winners.

Surprising North Andover beat surprising Concord-Carlisle, 11-10, in the Division 1 North quarterfinals. The No. 21 Knights trailed No. 20 C-C 8-2 heading into the sixth. They took a 2-run lead with four runs in the top of the seventh and held on as the hosts pushed across one run in the bottom of the seventh. Freshman Brigid Gaffny gave up just one eawrned run in 4.2 relief innings to get the win. Julianna Roche and Maeve Gaffny both drove in three runs.

Mike Glynn remained perfect on the year with a pair of wins at 138 and James Bohenko was 2-0 at 113 to highlight a tri-meet sweep for Central Catholic, which improved to 14-2 and has a big date at Andover Wednesday.

The surging HPNA girls hockey team (10-0-2) had no trouble with Concord Carlisle, romping to an 8-0 win as six different players scored. Hannah Keating and Reese Pascucci both scored twice.

Central Catholic's hockey team bounced back in a big way after being shut out for the first time all year in its last game, ripping Concord-Carlisle 9-1. Mike Dinges had a hat trick for the Raiders (7-3-1) and Jake Doucette scored twice.

With three seconds left in regulation, Andrew Perry scored a goal to bring North Andover to a 3-3 tie with Concord-Carlisle. Under the new format, the game technically ends in a tie, but Jimmy Boyle scored in overtime for the Knights (7-2-1).

Emily Downer scored 20 points and Nadeshka Bridgewater added 15 points as Central Catholic rolled past Concord-Carlisle 56-29.

Haverhill's hockey team wion its first game of the season, clipping Concord-Carlisle 5-2. Evan Foskett and Brady Ferreira both scored twice for the Hillies (1-1) and Zach Roughan had 31 saves.

Anthony McCann bumped up to 120 pounds and started the meet with a first-period pin as North Andover clipped Concord-Carlisle, 42-30.

Zach Alfonzo made a whopping 50 saves and Colby Scott scored two goals, including the overtime game-winner, as Methuen opened its season with a 4-3 victory over Concord-Carlisle. Aidan Hollingsworth and Ethan Schena each added a goal for the Rangers.
