Abbey Bevens scored twice and Ryan Atkins stopped all seven shots she faced to lead Pelham (13-0) to yet another win, 4-0, over Franklin.

Lawrence split four matches at the Division 1 state dual meet tournament at Franklin. Luis Mauricio continued to look good at 106, winning three of four matches. Also going 3-1 for the Lancers were Sammy Estevez (195), Hector Alberto (220) and heavyweight Stanley Alberto. Lawrence is now 23-10 on the year.

Lawrence gave St. John's Prep a battle, losing 38-33, and lost to host Franklin, but the Lancers whipped Salem 54-19. Miguel Torres returned to the lineup for the Lancers and was 3-0 at 160. 

Kait Laliberte had two goals and two assists and Emma Poto added two goals as Sanborn field hockey drubbed Franklin 6-0.

Chantal Roussel stroked a two-run double in the bottom of the eighth to lift Pelham's softball team to a 7-6 victory over Franklin in the Division 3 quarterfinals.

Pelham senior Harley Kearney scored five goals, giving him 23 on the year to break hos own school record, as Pelham blasted Franklin 10-0 in boys soccer. Eric Guinasso helped out with four goals of his own in the Python romp.

Josh Medeiros and Kevin DeAngelo weren't about to waste any time or energy in Pelham's dual meet split with Franklin (36-21) and Milford (24-48). Medeiros posted pin wins in 24 and 32 seconds, totalling 56 seconds of action, four fewer than DeAngelo, who opened with a pin in 18 seconds and then dawdled in match 2, pinning his man in 42 seconds.

PLYMOUTH NH — Four days after the Sanborn softball team defeated personal nemesis Campbell in the Class M state semifinals, the Indians ran into the classification’s bully yesterday afternoon.

Sanborn senior Morgan Farmer capped a dramatic rally with a three-run homer over the fence to provide the winning run in a 10-9 win over Franklin, handing the visitors their first loss. The heart of the lineup for the Indians (10-1) — Farmer, Cara Carter and Krissy Romano — had seven hits and seven RBIs.

Having not played in goal since middle school, senior Kim Surette stepped in for an injured Ali Laliberte and helped author a 2-0 shutout by Sanborn's field hockey team over Franklin. Jess King's penalty stroke a minute into second half play was all the Indians (4-8) needed.
