Windham's volleyball team gave unbeaten Bedford a battle in a 3-1 loss. It was the first set Bedford had dropped all year and all the sets were competitive. Sam Blandford had 30 assists and five aces for the Jaguars (14-2).

Max Lukeman won at No. 6, 43-44, to give Pinkerton golf the tie-breaker over Bedford. Both clubs finished with 195s. Nashua South was well back at 217. The Astros' Julianna Megan shot a 1-under 35.

Unbeaten defending state champion Windham field hockey (now 3-1-1) lost to Bedford (5-1) 2-1 in overtime. Sophie Manchester scored for the Jags.

Pinkerton smashed the ball in a 15-2 defeat of Bedford. Samantha Donovan had a double, triple, three RBIs and was one of four players for the Astros (10-2) with three hits.

Bedford rolled past Salem, 17-1. The Blue Devils got a strong effort from Abby Porter (12 saves).

MANCHESTER, N.H. — Windham matched Bedford shot for shot in the first period, and controlled play for nearly the entire third. But the middle period doomed the Jaguars.

No. 2 Bedford struck for all five of its goals in the second period, on the way to defeating  No. 7 Windham 5-2 in the Division 1 quarterfinals on Saturday at Sullivan Arena at Saint Anselm College.

Timberlane crushed three opponents in a quad-meet to improve to 14-2. Codey Wild (132) and Nick Pallaria (138) were both 3-0 with three pins and vastly improved Anthony Rousseau (152) was 3-0 with two pins. Freshman Malikai Colon were among several other unbeaten Owls on the day.

Joey DaSilva nailed a 27-footer at the buzzer to give Windham its first lead of the game and a 58-56 win over Bedford. DaSilva had 18 points and four 3-pointers while Westin Lippold had a monster game with 22 points. Bedford missed its final four free throws.
