Maddie Schoenenberger and Aby Alexander each drove in two runs as Pinkerton beat Bedford 5-3 in the Division I Quarterfinals. Ashleigh Lemay locked down the win with two innings of no-hit relief for the Astros, who will next face Exeter on Wednesday at Plymouth State (7 p.m.)

Freshman catcher Ari DeCotis blasted her 12th homer of the season and drove in three runs, but Bedford rallied for a pair of runs in the bottom of the seventh for a 10-9 victory over Windham. Kelly Wright went 3-4 and drove in two.

Ava McNamara, Vania Moniz and Emersen Poulin each hit a home run as Salem crush Bedford 14-8 on Monday. McNamara and Poulin each finished with four RBIs and Madeline Beeley added three hits for the winners.

Liam Doyle overwhelmed Bedford, fanning 14 in five innings of one-hit, zero-walk baseball as Pinkerton blasted Bedford, 18-0, in five innings. The lefty Doyle threw 68 pitches, 51 for strikes. Cole Yennaco had four of the Astros' 14 hits, driving in four. Jacob Albert was 3 for 3, scoring five run and driving in three.

Pinkerton goalie Curtis Michaud made eight saves and the Astros defense dominated on the way to a 5-2 win over Bedford. Ryan Lynch led the winners with two goals.

Paige Murray fired a 4-hitter and whiffed 13 as Pinkerton doubled up on Bedford, 4-2. Ashleigh Lemay drove in two runs and Maddie Schoenenberger had two hits.

Luke Surprenant scored a game-high 17 points and Sean Chanakira tallied 13 points despite battling foul trouble as Timberlane beat Bedford 56-48.

 Pinkerton gave unbeaten Bedford a battle in the second game, losing 28-26, but the Astros could never quite get over the hump, bowing out of the state volleyball tournament with a 3-0 loss. Sarah Bolduc had 13 kills for Pinkerton (16-5).
