Andover's Aidan Cammann threw a block party Friday night, and the St. Peter Marian basketball team was invited. The 6-foot-6 sophomore finished with 18 points and a whopping 11 blocks to lead the Warriors to a dominant 73-41 season-opening win.

Sebastian Keane allowed just two hits over five scoreless innings, striking out six, and Brett Dunham was 3 for 3 with two RBIs as North Andover defeated St. Peter Marian, 3-1.

Luis Reynoso had 8 assists, 10 rebounds, 6 steals, 8 points and 5 blocks as Lawrence downed Paolo Freire of Holyoke, 88-64. Brian Martir (20), Jaden Castillo (20), Jeremiah Melendez (9) were the leading scorers.

HAVERHILL —  Central Catholic's baseball team didn't waste any time getting its offense untracked.

Playing at home in their opener, the Raiders scored five runs in the first and added four more in the second on their way to a 13-0 romp over St. Peter of Marian.

Cassidy Gruning and Jessica Driscoll each  had two goals as Tewksbury-Methuen rolled past St. Peter-Marian 7-2.

A balanced offensive attack led Lawrence to an impressive 82-62 victory over St. Peter Marian in the Bishop Reilly tournament championship game. Junior Luis Reynoso had 26 points, Chris Ruiz poured in 20 on three 3-pointers and Juan Felix Rodriguez chipped in 18 for the Lancers (2-0).

Down for the first time in its first five games this season, Central Catholic got a clutch 2-run double from Mike Pierro and RBI singles from Michael Borrelli and Sean Thompson to respond with four runs in the sixth inning to clinch a 6-5 victory. Will Conaton closed the door with four good innings of relief for the Raiders (5-0).

Aryanna Poirier had a personal-best diving total of 203.50 to highlight Methuen's 88-59 victory over St. Peter Marian. Lauren Arsenault won two individual events for the Rangers (4-3).

Conor Silk scored two goals and assisted on another as Andover beat St. Peter Marian 5-0.

Kelly Lennon earned victories in the 100 butterfly (1:03.63) and 100 backstroke (1:07.73) and swam on the winning 200 medley and 200 freestyle relays as Methuen beat St. Peter Marian 93-66.
